Nitza Shawriyeh

Nitza has been decorating for me since the early 80's. When decorating your home with Nitza, you work together. She studies your particular needs and uses as much as possible of your existing collections. She then creates for you an environment that you will enjoy for years. From her you learn that 3 shades of white may be necessary to achieve the 'white' you want. Her color sense is superb. Walls are no longer just surfaces but canvases to enrich your rooms and furnishings. Nitza just isn't about arranging furniture and choosing swatches. she is about creating a subtle layered environment that is inviting beautiful and comfortable.You will find wonderful surprises in her charming tablescapes and maybe a quiet stunning table from China will catch your eye on your second glance about the room. We are working on our 5th project. A new small smart house where Nitza will be able to use the best of what we have collected on surfaces that she has shown us and that we love. I recommend Nitza highly. Her work is beautiful and she is a pleasure to work with.

I sought out Nitza after admiring the exquisite home she created for a friend. She has now designed two homes for us and we are thrilled with the results! For our Park Avenue apartment, she shared our vision for a traditional look that would blend with the pre-war architecture. She carefully used my taste and color preferences to select numerous options for me to choose from at each step along the way. I always felt that we were working as a team. As a busy professional and mother, I truly appreciated the high level of service Nitza provides. She was willing to come to my office with samples at my convenience and completed tasks with breathtaking efficiency. She always responded immediately to a phone call, text, or e-mail and never hesitated to stop by my home in the city or country when needed.
